The Natures Head composting toilet is very east to use. When emptying the solid waste tank, there are two easy to use thumbscrews on the side of the toilet that release the solid waste tank from the floor mounts. The ventilation simply plugs into the side of the tank and is easily removed as well. After disposing of the solid waste, you simply drop the toilet base back into place, install the thumbscrews and reattach the vent hose and you are good to go!John Byfield-the Eco-Discovery Tourhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16562904363755027064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6978299374572950721.post-50019031023972648292011-10-02T17:09:51.039-07:002011-10-02T17:09:51.039-07:00when you empty the solids, do you have to unbolt t...when you empty the solids, do you have to unbolt the whole bottom of the toilet from the ground and unplug the ventilation?Brian Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15962799735047215142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6978299374572950721.post-62068358350754644152010-10-17T05:58:15.029-07:002010-10-17T05:58:15.029-07:00Hi Lynda,

We do have a compost toilet and it works great - I love the earthy smell after the peat moss has been put in. We are presently in NM heading for Colorado tomorrow for a few weeks then over to California.

You can visit our adventure posts at www.earthboysblog.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12637731468344732953noreply@blogger.com
